Good question Aaron or perhaps it would just be bundled along with server installs as with ASP, .NET etc. There would probably be a lot more CF out there but then again probably not for Unix flavors.

Those were the times, when Microsoft was trying to monopolize the entire industry, but they were finally halted, which is a good thing. Right now, I feel that Google are going down the same route, they're buying up everything, it won't be long til they're also halted by the government. That's the end I've very much prefer, competition is better than one company owning everything.
