The Scotch Come Down To London

There is hardly anything worse to do than to call a native of Scotland "Scotch".  It is at best a double insult, first of all it could be seen to demean one of the world's greatest spirits - Scotch Whiskey and secondly the correct term is "Scots" however in this case I think I dare say the wrong thing.  Sadly, CFDevcon a well anticipated conference scheduled for late September in Brighton, England had to be cancelled at the last minute.  The organizers put a lot of effort into making it fly but alas they were unable to do so.  So the organizers of Scotch on the Rocks have put together a one day event at the greatest of all UK institutions, a pub.  The event will be called "A Wee Dram" and full details can be found here.

I have a feeling this will be a marvelous event, Adam Lehman is slated as part of the key-note  and there are some great speakers.    For some unknown reason they asked me to speak too, well there's no accounting for taste; hope to see you there.

Makes me wish I was on the other side of the pond. I love drinking scotch. Which one? All of them!

@Will yes that is a great question there are just so many and I have only tried a few, one of my favorites is a single malt called Laphroaig, it has a very smokey sort of aftertaste.
