I am on the Steering Committee for the OpenBD initiative and thought I would simply post a link to a good example set-up of OpenBD running with Tomcat 6.x.  I have not been very contributory yet but I will be.  I am trying to get my head around all the possibilities that are opening up at the application distribution end of things.

One thought that is very much also in my head, is that we have a good chance to push CFML very firmly into the Java developer community, in my opinion.

Tomcat with Apache connected through mod_jk or as part of the Jboss application infrastructure is an overwhelmingly positive advert for why anyone would want to buy into free software. This excellent server is stable, scalable, evolving with a dedicated community and better than or competitive with indirectly expensive proprietary products.

The Tomcat installation process seems to be easy to perform. I am interested by the latest version of the script.
